GENERAL CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
This Terms and Conditions Agreement ("Terms and Conditions"), together with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein as an integral part, is entered into between you and RKM Balearic Sports, S.L. This Agreement governs your use of the services, information and products available through the website. www.rutaskayakmenorca.com ("Services"). By accessing and using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by the Terms of Business and the Privacy Policy, regardless of whether you are a visitor or a registered member. If you do not agree with any provision of the Terms of Engagement or the Privacy Policy, you are requested to refrain from using or accessing the Services.
- These "Terms and Conditions" apply to any booking of our activities and items.
- It is essential to know how to swim.
- Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
- 14 to 18 year olds must carry an authorisation signed by a legal guardian.
- Children under 6 years of age are not admitted.
- Parents or legal guardians will be responsible for minors who participate in any of our activities, regardless of whether or not they participate themselves, and must have given their express consent for the activity to take place.
- Weight less than 100 kg; height less than 2m (consult the centre in the case of a weight and/or height equal to or greater than those indicated).
- Inform the centre in advance if you suffer from any disability, significant pathology and possible pregnancy before contracting any activity.
- He/she also undertakes not to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs and/or narcotics, as well as any other medication that may affect his/her ability to react.
- Pregnant women must have express permission from their doctor in order to participate in the activity.
- The client, on contracting our services, undertakes to follow the instructions of the guide (monitor) responsible for each activity at all times.
- RKM Balearic Sports, SL. or our guides cannot be held responsible for personal injury, loss or damage to equipment.
- Booking is essential to secure a place. To confirm a reservation, the customer must pay 100% of the total amount.
- RKM Balearic Sports SL reserves the right to make changes to the timetable or cancel any activity due to weather and safety conditions.
- The commitment of RKM Balearic Sports SL begins at the moment the contracted activity starts.
- The contract and responsibility of RKM Balearic Sports concerns exclusively the direct work of its technicians and the organisation of the activity.
By paying for a rental or tour it is understood that the customer has read and accepted our terms and conditions.
- It is the client's responsibility to travel to the departure point of the activity.
- RKM Balearic Sports SL reserves the right to refuse admission to any person presenting any of the above criteria.
We reserve the right to make changes and adjustments to these terms and conditions without prior notice to customers. However, we undertake to adhere as far as possible to the terms agreed at the time of booking. Please note that the cancellation policy cannot be changed.
- We recommend all clients to have their own personal travel/medical insurance.
- Any lawsuit or claim against RKM Balearic Sports SL will be brought in the courts of Mahón.
- Rates are per person (except for tailor-made rates for large groups) and VAT included. This price includes the necessary technical and safety equipment: kayak, waistcoat, paddle, waterproof canister (if the COVID-19 regulations allow it), and qualified guide. The hiring of external services (accommodation, transport...) will be at the client's expense.
RENTAL OF EQUIPMENT
- For all rentals, the following written agreement must be reached:
"I hereby declare that I take full responsibility for my own safety during the rental period. I am aware that sea kayaking has certain risks and I will bear these risks in mind when I am on the water. I will return the equipment in the same condition as when it was given to me. If the equipment is not returned within the period or is damaged in any way, RKM Balearic Sports, SL. is entitled to claim the extra costs according to the delay or the bad condition of the equipment.
- No refund or cancellation of any rented item or service if the weather conditions are not to the client's liking (rain, wind, etc.).
- The pre-booking fee will not be refunded once the booking has been made.
CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS FOR SEA KAYAK RENTAL
GUIDED ROUTES
- The kayaks used are double kayaks, with the possibility of a single, open (sit on top) and self-bailing kayak.
- Throughout the tour, the group is assisted by qualified guides and instructors.
- The paddling exercise is very simple and logical, however, before going out to sea there is always an explanation of the basic technique so that any participant can do the whole itinerary without difficulties. During the excursions there are different stops to rest.
- Please be at the meeting point at least 25 minutes before the start time of the activity. Please make sure you arrive on time, as in case of late arrival, the group may leave without you. In this case, no refund will be made.
No previous knowledge is necessary, but average physical condition is required for the guided hikes:

CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum age for unaccompanied adult:
- Las Cuevas Route: Minimum 14 years old to go alone.
- Children under the age of 14 accompanied by an adult
- Children under 6 years old not admitted (7 years old in Es Canutells).
- From 6 to 7 years old included, they do not occupy a kayak place when there is a 3rd occupant, but only one kayak can go per kayak.
- Pregnant women must have express permission from their doctor in order to participate in the activity.
CONTRACTING GUIDED TOURS
1. Booking is essential to secure your place.
2. For the confirmation of the booking, the customer must pay 100% of the total amount.
3. The price of the guided activities includes the accident and liability insurance mandatory for canoeing activities in the Balearic Islands.
- All personal items carried on board (mobile phones, cameras, glasses, clothes, etc.) are the sole responsibility of the customer.. RKM Balearic Sports, S.L. is not responsible for their loss, damage or deterioration, regardless of the cause, and no compensation or indemnity will be paid in any case for this concept. It is recommended not to carry valuables during the activity.
4. Upon confirmation of the booking, the customer expressly accepts these General Terms and Conditions in full. In the event that a person books on behalf of another person or persons, the latter shall assume each and every one of these conditions.
5. By paying for a rental or guided tour, it is understood that the customer agrees to accept the "...".Statement of Responsibility"which they verify at the time of booking.
CANCELLATION POLICY
1. Weather and sea conditions
Our activities are subject to weather conditions and sea conditions. For this reason, RKM Balearic Sports, S.L. (Rutas Kayak Menorca) may modify or cancel the activity, even during its development. In this case, the client will have the right to reschedule the activity or receive a refund of the amount paid.
2. Cancellation and modification of services
The customer may cancel or modify the contracted services and shall be entitled to a refund of the amounts paid, subject to the following penalty criteria:
- Cancellation less than 3 days in advance: penalty of 100% of the total amount of the reservation.
- Cancellation more than 3 days in advance: no penalty.
3. Seasickness
No refund will be made in the event of seasickness.. As this is an activity in an environment with possible waves, the client is responsible for taking the necessary preventive measures, such as, for example, the use of Biodramine, in the event of being prone to seasickness.
4. Reactions of fear, anxiety or claustrophobia during the activity
No refund will be given in the event that the client experiences a sudden attack of fear, anxiety, claustrophobia or other similar reaction during the tour. The client must be aware of the nature of the activity, which takes place in the middle of the sea and enters sea caves, and take responsibility for their participation, especially when the activity is done with children.
5. No show
Failure to show up at the date and time indicated by RKM Balearic Sports, S.L., will result in the client being obliged to pay the full amount of the booking.
6. No show with the full group
If the client makes a reservation for a group and does not show up with the number of people indicated in the reservation, RKM Balearic Sports, S.L. will not refund the amount, unless this has been communicated in advance.
7. Reserve duplication
In the event of a duplicate booking and not notifying us at least 24 hours in advance, if the route is complete, no refund can be claimed. However, if the kayak is released and is occupied by another customer, the full amount will be refunded, regardless of the time elapsed.
8. Cancellation due to injury or illness
In the event that the client is unable to attend the activity due to injury or illness, it will be necessary to present a medical report justifying the impossibility of participating. Once the medical report has been received, and provided that the cancellation is made at least 24 hours before the date of the activity, the amount paid will be refunded.
If the booking is for a group, only the customer concerned and one accompanying person will be reimbursed. No refund will be made for the other participants in the group.
9. Right of admission
RKM Balearic Sports, S.L. reserves the right to refuse admission in the following cases: if the client is under the influence of alcohol or other narcotic substances, or if he/she has made the booking without complying with the requirement essential to know how to swimas specified in the terms of contracting the service. In none of these cases will the amount paid be refunded.
10. Use of coupons and discounts
All coupons or discount codes must be previously validated by Rutas Kayak Menorca (RKM Balearic Sports, S.L.) in order to be applicable. In the event that a coupon is not validated or does not comply with the established requirements, the amount corresponding to the service will be charged without applying the discount.
CHANGE OF DATE OF THE EVENT
A customer with a confirmed booking may request a change of date under the following conditions:
