Kayak between 50-metre cliffs, enter the mythical Cueva de la Luz and discover why this is the area with the most sea caves in Menorca. The Cave Route from Cala en Porter is a 3 hour guided excursion along the south coast where you will explore 4 caves, snorkel in the crystal clear waters of Cales Coves and come back with GoPro photos of every moment.
We set off from the Cala en Porter jetty and immediately the cliffs close in around you. The water changes colour with every stroke.
The first stop is the Cave of Light (Cova de la Llum): the sunlight filters through a hole in the cliff and tints the water an electric blue that you won't forget, and you can also swim and snorkel in it!
Then we enter the Cueva de los Colores, which is only accessible by kayak. On the way out we come across the majestic Sant Josep Cave, The cave, with stalactites and rock formations that have been sculpted by the sea for centuries. As well as others, such as the Cueva de la Bóveda.
Don't forget that you can rock hopping to a natural swimming pool, sea permitting!
The route ends at Cales Coves, The largest prehistoric necropolis in Menorca: more than 90 caves carved into the cliffs thousands of years ago. Here we stop to snorkel in crystal clear waters full of fish before returning to Cala en Porter.
For everyone from 6 years old who knows how to swim. You don't need any kayaking experience, the guide will teach you the basic technique before you set off. Families with children (from 6 years old in double kayak with one or two adults), couples, groups of friends. The pace is adapted to the group and there are stops throughout the trip to rest, swim and snorkel.
Children under the age of 14 must always be accompanied by an adult. Children under 6 years old are not allowed to participate.
