Discover the classic and most popular guided kayak tour. Explore up to 4 sea caves including the legendary Cave of Light, The Sant Josep Cave and a rockfall into a natural pool. Finish by snorkelling in Cales Coves, The largest prehistoric necropolis in Menorca, surrounded by crystal clear waters and full of fish.

ES CANUTELLS CAVES ROUTE

The route with guide for adventurers. Discover up to 8 monumental sea caves in the most unspoilt area with the most caves in Menorca. Enter the majestic Ses Atxes Cave with its immense stalactite, hidden caves and the deepest and most spectacular cave. There will be no shortage of snorkelling spots.

Ideally, this should be done in the first days of your stay in Menorca. This way, if the sea does not allow the activity to take place, we can reschedule it for another day. There are clients who leave the route for the end of their holidays, and if the sea is rough that day, they will not be able to enjoy it.

Both routes are very beautiful, they are different and they don't cross each other. Whichever route you choose, you'll get it right.

The basic differences are:

At Cala en Porter You visit four caves, including the famous Cueva de la Luz and, if the sea allows it, you can jump from some rocks into a natural pool. Then you stop at Cales Coves, where you can snorkel, swim or rest.

Es Canutellsis the route with the most caves on the island. You will visit between 7 and 8 caves. In one of them the instructor goes with a torch because it is very deep and totally dark, you will love it! To snorkel, you don't stop in a cove as such, but on stone platforms between the water, if the sea allows it, or in the water. in a little corner of the white sandy cliff bottom where nor on foot. On this route you paddle for about 15 minutes more.

The choice is up to you - you won't fail!

If children are small and do not paddle, the Cala en Porter route is more recommendable, as it is very pretty and somewhat more relaxed. You paddle less and reach a nearby cove, Cales Coves, which is more sheltered from the sea.

Please note that the minimum age for this activity is 6 years old.

The children from 13 years of ageoccupy an adult seat.

A 6 or 7 year old child has a free place only when he/she is the 3rd occupant of the kayak.

For Cala en Porter:

  • 9h: It is less hot and the sea is in better conditions.
  • 10:15h: This is a comfortable and balanced time.
  • 12h: The colours are more intense and the sun is more intense.
  • 16h: Very good to see the Cueva de la Luz at its best.

For Es Canutells:

  • Both 10am and 4pm is a good time.

Children between 6 and 13 years old must always be accompanied by an adult in the kayak.

From the age of 14, they can do the activity with a guide without the need to be accompanied, as long as they have the express authorisation of their legal guardians.

On both kayak routes we make a stop of approximately 30 minutes for snorkelling.

You can bring your own snorkelling goggles or rent one during the booking process to enjoy the seabed. Although it is not a prerequisite to enjoy the activity.

The pictures/videos are sent in a maximum time limit of 5 days.

Yes, pets are welcome, as long as they meet certain conditions. Must be a dog small or mediumThe heavier the weight in the kayak, the more unstable it becomes.

In addition, it is important that the dog is accustomed to the sea and be QuietThe group should not be in any way uncomfortable for the rest of the group and safety should not be compromised during the activity.

An odd numbered group of 3, 5, 7 or more people must book separately, first an individual kayak in the lower timetableand then the remaining double kayaks in the superior calendar.

Important: make sure there is availability for both single and double kayaks before completing your booking.

It is not possible to otherwise we would not all fit inside the caves. In addition, we must respect a maximum number of kayaks in the sea so that the route is safe and manageable for the guide and the group.

The single kayak is only for the 3rd member of an odd-numbered group or for a single person.

  • Swimming costume and sun shirt.
  • Cap, sun cream and sunglasses.
  • Snorkel mask, water shoes (booties) and towel.
  • Some snacks and water.
  • Always carry all objects securely. with laces.
  • You'll also have a watertight bottle to carry everything in the kayak that you don't want to get wet, such as your mobile phone.

If you are not coming by car and you need to leave a bag, suitcase or object, you can store it in our premises, although they are not individual lockers.

If Rutas Kayak Menorca is forced to cancel an activity due to safety reasons, such as adverse weather conditions, we will offer a cancellation of the activity. possibility of reprogramming on another date or, if that is not possible, the full reimbursement of the amount paid.

If you are pregnant, you should have a express consent of your doctor in order to carry out the activity safely and always under your own responsibility.

At Cala en Porter there is a free parking just a few metres from our premises, right on the beach.

Please note that in July and August The car park is very full and finding a parking space can be a difficult task between 11.30am and 4pm.

At Es Canutells it is possible to park in a way that free on the streets around our premises.

Sorry, we do not have touring kayaks.

Rentals are only for 2h or 3h.

There are no changing rooms with showers on the premises.

On the beach, the town councils have removed the showers in order to reduce water consumption and raise awareness of the scarcity of the resource, in accordance with the Balearic Hydrological Plan in force since 2022.
